I grew up hearing this story: The day after my Great Grandfather died the phone rang and my Aunt picked it up. The person on the other side said something like this:  “I am a cantor. I was on the blacklist but Joe hired me anyway. I’d like to sing at his funeral.”

The research of Click Tracks Pt 2: STREAMER will continue to focus on the conflation of news and entertainment, reflecting on the role that media, censorship, and propaganda play in our present political moment.

The mission of this body of work is to investigate the role that media plays on the American people as the American Audience.  For example, the Hollywood Blacklist is history’s structural foundation to censorship and narrative control.
